Windermere

The Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Central Florida

With its beautiful weather, endless opportunities for entertainment, and fantastic lakes and parks, Orlando and the surrounding areas are the perfect places for a primary residence or a vacation home. Are you planning to visit the area to look at Winter Park real estate or Golden Oak luxury homes for sale? If so, you’ll likely want to know what the dining scene is like in your potential new hometown. Fortunately, there are plenty of fantastic restaurants in the area, many of which offer fine dining and would be the perfect place for you to celebrate making a successful offer on Golden Oak or Windermere properties. Here are some of our favorites.

Windermere

Windermere, located just 12 miles from Orlando, offers beautiful lake living and a fun downtown district that locals love. If you plan to look at Windermere properties, consider these restaurants while you’re in the neighborhood:

Bella Tuscany Italian Restaurant

If good food paired with good wine is what you crave, you can’t go wrong with Bella Tuscany. Family-owned, this neighborhood Italian restaurant not only has menu favorites like saltimbocca and veal parmigiana, but it also has a full bar, a wine list with more than 700 selections, and live music. Consider dining outdoors and enjoying the weather while sharing an order of truffle risotto bites and a vodka pizza with a glass of wine chosen for you by the in-house experts.

Feather and Quill Restaurant and Craft Cocktail Bar

A great date spot (or place to toast each other for choosing one of the Windermere properties to make an offer on), Feather and Quill has everything from mussels to chicken bruschetta to bone marrow croquettes and fun drinks like the Dr. Feelgood and Pass the Torch as well as wines by the glass, a variety of beers, and dessert drinks. If you’re not in the mood for a full dinner, consider dropping by for happy hour from 4-7 except Monday and again at 10-11 pm on Friday and Saturday for specials on drinks, apps, and pizzas.

Golden Oak

Located at the Disney World resort, Golden Oak is the perfect neighborhood for those who love the theme park (or have frequent visits from grandchildren who do) and who want to be close to tons of entertainment and dining options. Here are two of the best fine dining restaurants to check out in this neighborhood.

Markham’s

One of the most luxurious (and spendy) restaurants in the Disney World resort, you have to either be a resident of the Golden Oak neighborhood or purchase a seat at around $350 per.

Being able to dine on bison strip loin, roasted squab, and five spice maple bourbon duck bacon with pickled veggies in a fanciful and unique environment is just one of the reasons to look at Golden Oaks luxury homes on the market.

Bolton’s

Named after the main character in the Disney classic The Horse in the Grey Flannel Suit, Bolton’s has a relaxed atmosphere without sacrificing any of the service or quality you would expect in a fine dining restaurant. This is a place where you can sip on a craft cocktail while taking in the rustic farmhouse décor while indulging in a Golden Oaks burger or plate of hand-crafted pasta.

Winter Park

Looking for a tight-knit community full of parks, museums, and boutique shops? Then Winter Park real estate might be for you! Located just 15 minutes from downtown Orlando, Winter Park is a popular community that is frequently rated the best place to live in Florida. As you look for the home of your dreams, take time out of your schedule to dine at these local restaurants.

The Ravenous Pig

If you love trendy gastropubs, you need to reserve some time to eat at The Ravenous Pig. Not only does it have a menu packed with delicious dishes like tuna carpaccio, lobster tacos, and wagyu tomahawk steaks, but it also has a brewery and beer garden for those who love microbrews. Small-batch craft beer choices include the Trucks and Trains pale ale, Grey Expectations botanical Belgian, and Lardermelon Blonde. Want to start your day off right when you’ve got a full schedule of looking at Winter Park real estate? Stop in for weekend brunch starting at 11:30 am for loaded hash browns, pimento drop biscuits, and bourbon shrimp and grits.

310 Park South

Serving Winter Park residents and visitors since 1999, 310 Park South is located on energetic Park Avenue. Though this restaurant has a café theme that is relatively casual, you can still experience a fine dining dinner of smoked salmon crisps, mushroom ravioli, or crispy duck. You can also enjoy happy hour Monday through Friday from 4-7 pm or from 11 am to 4 pm on weekends and get deals on drinks, domestic beers, and sangria. 310 also serves a popular brunch with $22 endless mimosas and menu items ranging from spinach, bacon, and feta frittatas to French toast and smoked salmon served on an English muffin with brunch potatoes.

No matter which neighborhood you settle on in central Florida, you know you’ll be close to hundreds of fun activities and delicious restaurants, all while enjoying nearly endless sunshine and people who can't wait to call you “neighbor.”
